About the Practice
Restore & Repattern therapy was created to provide a space where deep, meaningful healing can take place - grounded in both clinical expertise and relational cultural awareness. This practice is built on the belief that healing requires more than symptoms management. It requires understanding the patterns shaped by our experiences, relationships, and enviornments - and actively working to transform them. Restore and Repattern therapist have extense experience working with clients struggling with sexuality, gender expression, personal and relational identity, and moderate to severe mental health challenges.
Bio
Dwayne Phillips-McNamee, LCSW, LCSW-C
I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, identity, and relational challenges. My approach integrates EMDR, Relational-Cultural Therapy, and culturally responsive care to support lasting, meaningful change.
I believe therapy should feel both grounding and transformative — a space where you can process your experiences while building new ways of moving forward. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I understand firsthand how relationships — with ourselves and with others — can be complicated, and I bring that understanding into the therapy room. I'm a direct therapist who leads with curiosity; clients often tell me I ask questions they've never thought to ask themselves.
My practice is committed to making quality care accessible to those who have historically been underserved or overlooked, and to seeing each person I work with as a whole human being deserving of healing. I've worked in the mental health field since 2019, in settings spanning both community mental health and private practice.
My work has included significant experience with individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, and I bring that background to my work with this population today. My approach has also proven especially helpful for clients who have struggled to make progress in therapy elsewhere.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm married with a son, and I recharge with music, video games, and movies — I find that having my own outlets for curiosity and play keeps me grounded in the work I do.
